Empowering Women as First Responders: The Vital Role of Women in Disaster Response Highlighted on International Women’s Da

    As the world prepares to commemorate International Women’s Day, the spotlight turns towards the indispensable contribution of women in disaster response and civil protection. Today, on the occasion of the 1rst Balkan Health & Safety at work Congress, we celebrate the courage, resilience, and expertise of women who serve on the frontlines of emergencies, both natural and man-made.

    THE SETOFF PROJECT CONSORTIUM VISITED THE EU EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND COORDINATION CENTRE.

      The 3-day work of the 2nd International Event organized by the Hellenic Institute for Health and Safety at Work – ELINYAE in Thessaloniki from June 19 to 21, 2023, was completed with great success. The 3-day meeting is part of the program SETOFF – Smart Education and Training Program for central government and local government employees, in which the Institute participates together with 7 other partners from 4 countries (Greece, Spain, North Macedonia and Belgium).

      THE CONSORTIUM OF THE ERASMUS+ SETOFF PROJECT ATTENDED THE LAUNCH OF THE “WASTE FOREST” CHALLENGE BY THE EUROPEAN PROPTECH ASSOCIATION AND THE PRESENTATION OF THE FIREPOINT APP

          2nd International Training event for Civil Protection in Thessaloniki

            A TRANSFORMATIVE WORKSHOP EXPERIENCE ON EMPOWERING DISTRIBUTED LEARNING APPROACH TO ENHANCE DISASTER RISK MANAGEMENT AND STRENGTHEN RESILIENCE

              On June 28th, a SETOFF’s project Workshop No.2, titled “Empowering Distributed Learning Approach to Enhance Disaster Risk Management and Strengthen Resilience” took place, leaving participants with valuable insights into the latest advancements in SETOFF’s project and its application into empowering resilience on public and local communities’ level. Led by distinguished experts, Dr. Dimitar Bogatinov, Dr. Nevena Serafimova, and Dr. Targoutzidis Antonis, the workshop attracted over 60 enthusiastic participants

              3RD Transnational Meeting Held at the Military Academy; Active Collaboration with the Greek, Belgian and Spanish Partners within the Erasmus+ Project – SETOFF

                Gathering partners from Greece, Belgium and Spain, the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski” – Skopje organizes the third transnational meeting within the Erasmus+ Project – SETOFF in the period from 4-5 March 2023.
                The meeting is going to be focused on discussions and analyses of the Train the Trainer cycle, the first iteration of which was held in March in Kavala, Greece. Moreover, final decisions are to be made on the e-training curriculum, which is going to be made available to all eligible participants from all participating countries via the e-learning platform created within the project. In this context, Professors from the Military Academy are going to conduct a training, specifically tailored for the needs of the project beneficiaries aimed at effective and efficient course creation within the project’s e-learning platform.
